Communication with Families
We aim to keep families informed about their child's early education through regular and consistent communication. This includes daily snapshots, developmental summaries, individual and group observations, parent-teacher meetings, and other social interactions. We value parent involvement and believe that your input is essential for creating a thriving environment for your child.
Daily Snapshots
A Daily Snapshot is a brief update that gives parents a glimpse into their child’s day in the classroom. It highlights the key activities and learnings from the day, along with photographs capturing moments of children actively engaged in their lessons. These snapshots help keep parents connected to their child’s educational journey.

Statement of Intention
A Statement of Intention is a document sent to families every 6 weeks that outlines the planned learning outcomes for the classroom. It highlights the big ideas, upcoming programs, and provocations, offering an overview of our curriculum planning. Our plans are based on children’s unique interests, voices, and developmental needs, ensuring that the learning experiences are meaningful and tailored to each child’s growth and curiosity.
We invite family feedback to enrich our curriculum. Please comment on these statements and provide input as you are the expert of your child!

Individual & Small Group Observations
Individual and group observations help educators gain valuable insights into each child's growth and developmental needs, allowing for more tailored learning experiences. These will appear periodically for family input. Observations are written as commentary and include your child's voice.

Parent Teacher Meetings
Parent-teacher meetings in the first quarter of the year provide an opportunity for educators and parents to connect and discuss each child's progress. These meetings focus on getting to know your child, sharing initial observations, and setting goals for the upcoming months. It’s a collaborative time to talk about your child’s development, strengths, and areas for growth, ensuring that we work together to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Summary of Learnings
Summary of Learnings are development reports that offer notes on a child's growth and progress over a specific period. These summaries highlight key milestones, strengths, and areas for development across various domains, such as cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. They are based on ongoing observations and assessments, offering a picture of each child's unique journey. These summaries are shared with families twice a year.
