It is the responsibility of all 360 community members to keep the service healthy and safe. It is important to understand your family responsibilities in caring for unwell children and the national regulations for early childhood services.
Understanding Exclusion Periods

What happens if my child is unwell in the service?
- You will be notified immediately when your child is unwell
- 38C or above is considered a fever
- We will not administer medication without your consent
- Pick your child up promptly (within 1hr maximum)
- If required, we make use of emergency contacts and ambulances
What must families do to contribute to health and hygiene?
- Do not bring sick children to our service
- Arrive symptom-free
- Do not give pain-relief medicine prior to attending
- Recognise the difference between seasonal changes and runny noses versus illness
- Keep up to date with vaccinations including flu shots
